Essay

Object - 248 children and juveniles, 16 rabbits (32 eyes). The purpose - to increase the effectiveness of progressive myopia treatment in children and juveniles. Methods: biochemical, gistomorphological, clinical, refractometry, ophthalmo-metry, US-echobiometry; Hartinger's refractometer, ophthalmometer OF-3, ECHO-21. For the first time it was shown, that the increase of trypsin-like proteinase activity had an important role in progressive myopia pathogenesis and it was proved that trypsin inhibitor in the transplanted material allows to lower intensity of the inflammatory process after scleroplasty. There were proposed the method of scleroplasty for treatment progressive myopia with the application of the artificial, bioinert transplant with inhibitor trypsin. This method is proved in the Filatov Institute. Sphere of use is the medicine, ophthalmology.
