Essay

The thesis is devoted to the development of the new methods of therapy of chronic apical periodontites with the use of different therapeutic forms containing antiseptics from the series of quaternary ammonium compounds. The resalts of bacteriological examination of root canal of teeth affected by chronic apical periodontitis are presented in the thesis. The etiological relation of oral mucosa resident microflora to that participating in etiopathogenesis of chronic apical periodontitis was established. On this basis the methods of chronic apical periodontites prophylaxis using oral cavity sanation by means of sublingual tablets conteining decametoxin was developed. A high therapeutic efficacy of methods of treating whis aethonium and decametoxin was proved in experiments on the models of chronic apical periodontites. The clinical observations at the nearest and remote terms showed a high effectiveness of using decametoxin and aethonium in the treatment of chronic apical periodontites
