Essay

The fluoro-containing poly(ether urethane urea)s and modified with hydrogels polyurethane compositions containing medicinal substances. Creation of new biocompatible fluoro-containing polymeric material with high durability and biostability and new biologically active compositions with prolongical action of medicinal substances. Physico-chemical, physico-mechanical, microbiological methods, chromatography, IR-spectroscopy. New biocompatible and biostable polyurethanes containing aromatic flourinated fragments in the hard segments of polymeric chain were synthesized. The fluoro-containing polyurethane with urea groups in the p-position can be used as material for long action implants. New biologically active polymeric compositions with prolongical medical action were prepared. Introduction of hydrogels into polyurethane matrix can regulate output rate of medicinal substance in water environment and to get materials with settled physico-chemical and physico-mechanical characteristics as well.
