Objekt: the works by George Gascoigne. Aim: to reveal the peculiarities of poetics of G.Gascoigne's works. Methods: sociocultural, historical-social. This is for the first time in Ukrainian literary studies that the through research of the works by the English late Renaissance writer G.Gascoigne has been undertaken. In the process of the analysis of his works the elements of the modern methodology of New Historicism were used. Approved in 15 publications.The sphere of use: literature and high sckool practice.
