Essay

Indium bromide single crystals. To determine ground state and energy-band structure parameters, mechanism and character of optical transitions. Methods of research are the methods of nonlocal pseudopotential, optical and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. For the first time the energy band diagram, the effective masses of charge carriers were obtained, valence bands genesis was specified. The type of the intralayer and interlayer chemical bond, the equilibrium structural parameters and atomic characteristics are established. The optical transitions are identified. Application - optoelectronic materials science.
