Essay

The thesis represents complex polytology research of social democracy phenomenon. Theoretical and conceptual paradigm and methodological bases in the context of modern political science researches are defined. Such compound formations of social democracy as political democracy, economic democracy as a basis of common weal, main tendencies of development of social democracy, ethical sources of social democracy and sense of main values are analyzed. The European experience of social democracy in the context of globalization is esearched. The humanist trend of social democracy is revealed. The conditions of social democracy origin in Ukraine are defined, its national features and the comparative analysis of the West-European and Ukrainian social democracy are developed.
