The theses is first complex studi of the archeographic activity of archival institutions in Ukraine (1946-1991). Analysis of the main principles of organization and peculiarities of the publishing activities of archive institutions; examination of influence of political andideological factors on the scientific and informational level of documentary collections; complex assessment of the All-Union regulations for publishing historical documents, analysis of the principles and methodologies of preparing collections of documents, examination of elaborations and expertise of Ukrainian archivists in the field of modernization of the regulatory framework for publishing historical documents; examination of the scale of presentation of the historical past of the Ukrainian people in the documents from collections.
