Tarasova T. Magnetic fields of the late type stars

The results of study of magnetic fields for some late type stars are presented. The magnetic fields were detected for three dwarfs, one subgiant, eight giants. It was the first time that the magnetic field was registered for those stars, except for the dwarf xi_ Boo A. The variation of a magnetic field as a function of the phase of the rotational period were considered for all the dwarfs. For two dwarfs, xi_ Boo A and 61 Cyg A, the dependence of the magnetic field upon the phase of the rotational periods was found for certain. The form of the phase curves for xi_Boo A and 61 Cyg A shows that the magnetic field observed is large-scale and that its configuration is close to a dipole one.
