Essay

Research object is the composite ceramic coatings of the Al-Ti(Zr)-N-B system.The goal is the manufacturing of ceramic coatings with higher wear- and corrosion-resistance due to formation of gradient structure. The experimental methods are XRD, EPMA, SEM, LEM, metallographic, thermogravimetric ones etc. Scientific innovation is the development of ceramic coatings as well as definition of structure formation regularities under the electric-spark masstransfer of ekectrode materials without metallic binder with higher wear- and corrosion resistance. The recommendations concerning application of AlN-based coatings developed for an increase of wear- and corrosion-resistance of high performance alloys were given.
