The Dissertation is devoted to the problems of release from criminal liability in connection with active repentance. The historical suppositions, social and legal conditionality of release from criminal liability in connection with active repentance are showed. The judicial nature of release from criminal liability in connection with active repentance is analyzed. Its place in the structure of norms of criminal law is defined. The author has revealed the grounds of release from criminal liability in connection with active repentance. Conditions of such release are analyzed. The author has also defined the substance of objective and subjective features of the active repentance (full compensation for damage inflicted, elimination of the harm, active facilitating the exposure of the crime, commission of a crime firstly, commission of a petty crime).
