Essay

It was established that allelopathic activity of lilac and phytotoxicity of lilac rhizosphere soil are resulted from phenolic compounds. It was determined that plant residues of lilac constituted one of the main factors causing allelopathic soil sickness. Syringa vulgaris is autointolerant species, i.e. negatively responds to its own allelochemicals. The simultaneous application of green-manure and humus raised adaptive ability of lilac to allelopathic stress.
