A type of language oral communication - narrative discourse. The definition of combined methods of the English language - means of actualization of the time concept in spoken narrative discourse. Methods employed are integral, descriptive, experimental-phonetic. The description and grounding of the concept approach to the investigation of language resources in the process of discourse formation. The results can be used in theoretical courses in language phylosophy, grammar, lexicology, phonetics and phonology. For the first time there was singled out the invariant acoustic image of each representative field of time which have formed in the process of the realization of spoken narrative discourses.
