Object of research: process of foreign investment in industrial sector of a regional economic complex. The purpose ofdissertational work: development ol'recommendations on improvement of the existing mechanism of attraction of foreign investments into industrial region in a combination to the mechanism of radical social and economic transformations. Methods of the research: a method of theoretical generalization, comparison, the correlation analysis, ordering, the statistical analysis. Theoretical results: classification of foreign investments on structure of foreign investors is resulted; the technique of research of the modern investment market is advanced in view of structural shitis of the world economy; the technique of an estimation of investment appeal of regions of Ukraine is developed; the conceptual approach to development of internal economic space of a complex special economic zone is submitted and proved.Practical results. Recommendations have received realization in practical activities of Executive Committee of the Mariupol City Council, Stock Branch "MMC after the name Ilyicha", Stock Branch "Transprogrcs", a Department of the Special Economic Zones, a Special Mode of Investment Activity, Foreign Economic Relations of the Mariupol City Council, Stock Branch "Building Machines", Department "Illich Main Branch Prominvestbank in Mariupol of the Donetsk Region", the Azov Ship-Repair Enterprise, and also in Educational process of International Economy Department of the Mariupol Humanitarian Institute and Priazovsky Technical University. Scientific novelty. Has received the further development of concept of the world investment market concerning conditions of market economy. The structure of 'the modern macroeconomic mechanism of development of the investment market is specified. For the first time the factors constraining investment activity of subjects of managing in industrial region in conditions of transitive economy, except for well-known are revealed. Prominent features of foreign investment in Ukraine are determined. For the first time the conceptual approach to development of internal economic space of a complex special economic zone is proved.
