Nealov A. Organizational and Legal Guarantee of Prison's Reform Realization in Russian Empire in the Second Half of XIX-th Century - Beginning of the XX-th Century.

Thesis is devoted to the analysis of organizational and legal grounds of prison's reform realization, made in the context of bourgeois changes in the second half of the XIX-th century - beginning of the XX-th century. Causes and preconditions of prison's reform are revealed in this work. The process of conceptual grounds' definition of Russian punishment execution system reorganization is followed. Organizational construction of penitentiary system, functions and powers of its individual elements, their cooperation are analyzed. Evolution of Russian penitentiary legislation in the period after the reform is researched. The main attention is paid to the essence of punishment execution and serving, in the way of imprisonment, regime's definition. Patronage activity customs' formation with the aim of individuals, set free from prisons, social adaptation is followed. Typical problems of legal practice on documentary materials of prison institutions, which were situated on the territory of Ukrainian provinces of Russian Empire, are revealed.
