Essay

The dissertation is devoted to studying the possibility of prognosis of cows' milk performance by means of immunogenetical methods (immunological reactivity determination by histamine test) in combination with the methods of genetic-statistical analysis. It is the first time, when using such milk productivity predictors as index of growth rate decreasing, immunological reactivity index, part lactation records united in selection index using the model deviation method and means of multiple regression analysis has been theoretically approved and practically realized. Comparative evaluation of effectiveness of various linear and none-linear regression methods has been performed and possibility of its application for the purpose of prognostic models development is clarified. Selection indexes have been constructed which could be used in selection practice and creation of high-productive dairy herds, perfection and the further development of the main structural units of the newly-maid Red milk cattle breed,in particular, in the South-East of Ukraine conditions.
