Byelozyorov M. New Words and Phrases of the English language in the Sphere of Economi: Structural, Semantic and Sociofunctional aspects.

The dissertation is devoted to the complex linguistic and sociolinguistic study of the ways and means of the growth of the English economic vocabulary. The research focuses on establishing the trends in word-formation and semantic processes in their interaction. It reveals the activity of certain word-formation types and mechanisms, analyses the formation of new productive derivational elements. It aims at determining the ways of functional change, the mechanisms and types of semantic derivation, studying the structural and semantic peculiarities of new phraseology and the ways of its formation. Тhe study determines the role of specific social and economic factors in the development of the business vocabulary, singles out the most important socio-functional blocks of the economic sphere as major lexical growth areas.
