Essay

The thesis presented is devoted to theoretical research of non-linear processes in a so called "plasma lens" that is used for ion beam controlling. Typical for the plasma optic systems gradients instabilities such as the "drift instability" and the "longitudinal instability" were subjects of investigations. First instability occurs because of spatial non uniformity of a magnetic field, but second one - is connected the non uniformity of an electric field. There were also investigated optimal conditions for transport of neutralized ion beam when its shapes change weakly or even do not change.
