The dissertation is a study of the peculiarities of the usage of lexico-grammatical and lexical units in the author's style. All main parts of speech in Modern German emotive prose have been analyzed, the prevalence of use of nouns and verbs has been determined. The similarity of different authors' styles has been motivated according to usage frequency of lexico-semantic subclasses. Similarity of different novels written by one and the same author and lexico- semantic stability of the author's style have been established. The revealed regular features may be further investigated on the material of other languages.
