Demyanik D. Clinic and treatment of patients with traumatic fractures of mandibula in case of considerable defects of dentition (clinical biomechanical investigation).

The results of conservative treatment of 152 patients from 35 to 74 years old with traumatic fractures of mandibula and considerable defects of dentition have been analysed. Based on biomechanical calculations have been developed methods and device, which determine power influence upon remaining teeth of patients with traumatic fractures of mandibula in case of considerable defects of dentition, treated by means of conservative-orthopedic methods. The way of repositioning and fixations of fragments and immobilizations of mandibula, combined splint for its performing have been elaborated. Efficiency of using construction in question for conservative-orthopedic treatment of patients of various ages with traumatic fractures of mandibula in case of considerable defects of dentition has been proven. Physical-mathematical calculation of possible power influence on teeth, carried out in the research, allow to broaden indication for conservative treatment of such cases. Positive results of treatment are obtained in 98,6 % of the patients.
