Ivanov D. Clinical-psychopathological peculiarities of mental infantilism among recruits

The thesis is devoted to research of psychopathological structure of mental infantilism under condi-tions of military service. By means of clinical-psychopathological, psychophysiological and experimental psychological methods the task of diagnostics and peculiarities of mental infantilism manifestation among recruits is solved depending on hypersthenic and hyposthenic forms of the disease. In case of mental infantilism the following symptoms are revealed: emotional strong-willed instabil-ity, intellectual immaturity and evident psychoorganic features that are being shown variously along with physiogenic asthenia in its hypersthenic or hyposthenic form. The results of psychophysiological research among recruits pointed out to cortical tonus reduction, increased exhaustion of stimulating process, weakness of inner inhibition, psychoorgаnic character of the disease. Developed differential diagnostic criteria of mental infantilism among recruits can promote to settle problems on detection of psychoinfantile individuals in Armed Forces, objectification of experts decisions in case of mental infantilism, and can be useful for prevention of emergency in troops.
