The object is the foreign policy of Great Britain (1979-1990); the aim is to find out the process of formation and realization of the Thatcher's government foreign policy principles on European and American directions; the methods are combination of historical and searching methods; the new knowledge is connected with first analysis of historiography on a theme, with determination of essence of the Anglo-American relations, with showing of evolution of the European policy and with exposition of the consequences of the Thatcher's government foreign policy; the field is modern history of foreign countries.
