Essay

The dissertation is devoted to direct synthesis and structure of the Cu/M (M = Zn, Cd) heterometallic complexes with aminoalcohols. The interaction of copper powder with ZnO or CdO, an ammonium salts in non-aqueous solutions of aminoalcohols has been studied and complexes with different Cu : M ratio have been obtained. The new synthetic procedures to heterometallic compounds have been elaborated and 28 novel Cu/M heteromеtallic complexes have been prepared using those. The compounds were studied by IR-, EPR-spectroscopy, magnetochemistry and also tested for antitumour activity. The crystal structures of the 15 new complexes have been determined by X-Ray crystal structure analysis. Direct synthesis is shown to be a new promising area of research in chemistry of heterometallic compounds.
