Essay

The dissertation is devoted to historical review of activity Austrian theatre in Lviv, reproduction of the basic stages its development, characteristic of musical repertoire and performing forces, determination of a role of Austrian scene in the cultural life of the town. On the basic of archives sources and the materials of the press, the author analyzes historical conditions and cultural context, an interaction of different tendencies, under an influence of which the repertoire politics of the theatre was formed and the changes of its orientation took place.
