Dissertation is aimed at improve efficiency of diagnosis and treatment of the patient with uncomplicated ulcer disease. Based on the result of 56 examined patients we were able to state that different methods for Hp-infection diagnosis donўt have similar diagnostic yield. We come to a conclusion that diagnostic yield of 13C - breath test and histology was similar and that 13C - breath test could be considered to be the second Іgold standartІ method for Hp-infection diagnosis. We analyzed the treatment results of 790 patients with duodenal ulcer. Ulcer recurrences were observed in 83% of patient treated with ranitidine or PPI alone after 12 month of follow-up and in 97% after 24 month of follow-up. Ulcer reccurrences were observed in 7% and 8% of patient treated with one of the eradication regimens after 12 and 24 months of follow-up, respectively. Thus, eradication therapy significantly the number of ulcer recurrence.
