Shevchenko A. М.N.Petrovsky and your contribution in Ukrainian historical science in 1920 - beginning of 1950 years of the XXth century.

Object - process of historiography in Ukraine during the 20 - 50 th. years of the ХХ century. The purpose of investigation is based on the new discovered archive sources, various published materials and predecessors' scientific achievements in order to restore M.N.Petrovsky's life and his scientific activity as well as to appreciate, his contribution in to the Ukrainian historical science development in the 1920-1950-th years. Methods - historycal-genetic, historycal-system, problems of chronology and historycal-biographic. The main plot of the thesis for the first time fully centers around the life and activity of the prominent Ukrainian historian Petrovsky M. N. (1894-1951). Based on the wide range of the archive and published sources there were done following investigations: the main biographic periods were scrutinized, his scientific, educational, and managerial activities, M. N. Petrovsky's scientific studies priority directions were analyzed, scientist's archeographical works were evaluated, andhis unique mode of work on the historical sources were ascertained, M. N. Petrovsky's place in processes of the Ukrainian historiography in 1920- beginning 1950 was determined. The author compiled total bibliography of the M.N.Petrovsky's work. Spheres of application: academic and higher educational institutions, manuals and monographic literature edition.
