Polunin G. The ways of improving immediate and remote results of treatment of cancer of colon (experimental clinical study)

Тhe research object were operated patients with cancer of colon, experimental animals (adult dogs). The aim of research was to improve upon cure results to cancer of colon by dint of development improvement of medical and surgical prophylaxis methods of postoperative complications. Methods of research: clinical inspections, abdominal cavity organs rentgenological inspection, endoscopic researches, ultrasonic research and computer tomography. Effectiveness of treatment was valued for such parameters: corrigiert 5-years survival, lifetime without recedives and metastases. Assessment of efficiency of applying comlex of pre- and intraoperational methods of medication and surgical prophylactics of postoperational complications and development of new means of surgery. Under the conditions of the experiment it has been proved that using intestinal sutures without involving mucous makes their healing similar to the first intention. The preoperational correction of the function of oxydental and antioxydental systems is necessary for patients with cancer of colon. The antibiotic therapy is also necessary. Neoadjuvant chemiotherapy has no negative effect on the nearest postoperational results. The offered methods adapted in treatment work of Donetsk regional coloproctological centre and in oncochirurgical hospitals were compartments for Donetsk region, Kharkov regional oncologic clinic. On offered methods obtained 6 declarative Ukraine patents on invention. The main results of the work are widely used in practice of oncological and proctologic clinics for treatment patients with cancer of colon.
