Borysenko S. Ukrainian-Russian Relations: April-December 1918.

The dissertation is dedicated to the research of Ukrainian-Russian relations in the April-December 1918, which mainly coincides with the existence of the Ukrainian State or, as it is accustomed to name, with the Hetmanat period.The preconditions of foundation of Ukrainian-Russian peace negotiations, their holding, opening of the consulate offices, terminations of the official diplomatic relations, and all other related issues within abovementioned period are researched in the thesis. Peculiarities of mutual relations of Hetmanat establishment with Russian non-Soviet territorial unifications and conservative political groups are also reviewed and analyzed in the dissertation. The reasons of birth and development of difficult and intense Ukrainian-Russian relations within researched period as well as influence on their evolution of internal and external factors are defined in the paper.
