Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the role of hepatitis B virus in the course of glomerulonephritis. It has been established that the frequency of revealing HBsAg in patients with glomerulonephritis exceeds such one in healthy people, and is practically equal in patients with an acute and chronic course. Тhe course of glomerulonephritis in presence of HBV-infection is accompanied by the liver damage, and is characterized by more severe clinical course, deeper changes of urine sediment, kidney functions, higher frequency chronisation of acute glomerulonephritis in comparison with patients without HBV-infection. Accompanying HBV-infection increases the secondary immune deficit, endogenic intoxication syndrome and is the risk osteopenia factor. It is recommendable to make blood tests for all the glomerulonephritis patients to detect markers of HBV-infection.
