Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the problem of choice of exchange rate regime in transitional economies. The author proposes a new classification of exchange rate regimes, all the exchange rate regimes and their positive and negative features are analysed. The choice of exchange rate regime is influenced by economic, political, and psychological factors. The models of choice of exchange rate regime for Central and Eastern Europe, and Ukraine are developed. The currency policy of Ukraine is also analysed.
