Essay

The dissertation research deals with the results of a complex study of changes of the metabolic and hemocoagulating components of hemostasis, the functional renal state in patients with chronic toxic hepatitis and cirrhosis, depending on the patients' age. A functional and biochemical correlation of the detected disturbances was established, the age - specific features of the pathogenesis of chronic diffuse hepatic diseases, derangements of the functional condition of the kidneys in case of the development of the pathological process in the liver was disclosed and a new method of early detection of the hepatorenal dysfunction was proposed. A possibility of pharmacological correction of the hepatorenal dysfunction in the category of patients under study was established and substantiated by means of lisinopril, an angiotensin - converting enzyme and its positive influence on the rheological blood properties and the antioxidant potential of the blood was discovered.
