Object - the activity of the National bank and commercial banks of Ukraine on the securities market; aim - the multilateral studing of problems connected with the activity of banks on the securities market, and making out of practical recommendations concerning the expansion of the role of securities in the activity of bank institutions; methods - the systematic analysis, the comparative analysis, the despersive and regressive analysis, the methods of statistical analysis; results - the determination of structure of securities market has got the further development, as well as the nature of bank investments into securities was specified; innovation - there were determined the recommendations concerning the improvement of valuation of securities during the formation of the bank investing portfolio and there were proposed measures as for the expansion of banking activity on the securities market; implemented into the work of commercial banks of Ukraine; sphere - the banking system.
