Essay

The Thesis deals with problems of development and studies of speech signal compression methods and algorithms. Criteria of effectiveness of a data transmission system using a speech wavelet compression algorithm are proposed. Different methods of speech signal compression are analyzed. The adaptive algorithm of speech signal compression is developed. The wavelet transformation technique is optimized for the purpose of compression algorithm speed-up. The main results of the work are used for development of automated information transport systems.
