Al-Arbi M. Relations between Libya and the USSR (1969-1991).

The thesis is devoted to the analysis of the process of building-up and development of the Libyan-Soviet relations in 1969-1991. In the framework of the present thesis the major directions of the relations between Libya and the USSR are analyzed, as well as their stages and dynamics. The experience of the Libya-SU cooperation is given a new meaning in the context of developing the relations between Libya and Ukraine. The author defines a place of Ukraine in the context of the foreign policy priorities of Libya, analyzes fundamentals of the Libya-Ukraine cooperation, as well as the acute problems of the current stage of the Libya-Ukraine relations, evaluates the correspondence of the current cooperation between the two states to its potential. The author analyzes the prospects of furthering of the Libya-Ukraine cooperation. The author gives his recommendations on promoting the cooperation between Libya and Ukraine.
