Essay

The dissertation focuses on the study of the phenomenon of children's literature. The author of the study analyzes the semantic competence and non-terminological character of the concept of "children's literature". The author also suggests narratological perspective as the acentric strategy of the study of cultural phenomena and a code of their description. The dissertation examines children's literature within the framework of narratological categories. This method of enquiry provides a useful way to think about children's literature as a twofold phenomenon.
