Сonditions of the formation, nature and crystallochemical peculiarities of solid solutions lithium containing niobates and tantalates of lanthanum have been determined. The lithium nonstoichiometry and influence of dispersion medium on the crystal structure of the compounds are investigated. The transport properties of lithium containing lanthanum niobates and tantalates have been investigated. Obtained materials have been shown to display high magnitude of both lithium ion conductivity and chemical diffusion coefficients.
