Meshkovaya S. The Secular Component оf Orthodox Church Schooling System оf Russian Empire (1857-1884)

The object of study - the secular component of Orthodox church schooling system of Russian Empire in XIX century. The purpose of study is to study and to analyze complexly a status and efficiency of general educational preparation of pupils of the Russian Orthodox church school reorganized as a result of its reform of 1867-1869. Historical-genetic, historical-comparative, historical-typological, historical-system methods and the methods of synchronous and diachronous analysis have been used. The practical value of the dissertation consists in opportunity of wide use of its basic ideas and conclusions at development of special courses of the history of Orthodox Church in Russia, at preparation of general and special lecture sources of the history of Russia and Ukraine of ХІХ century. Based on the wide range of sources and literature the dissertation deals with a problem of secular component of Orthodox church schooling system in Russia. This is the first time the causes and the results of the crucial reorganization of schooling system taken as a part of the church schooling reform of 1867-1869 are being analyzed.
