Essay

The tresis presents the results of an investigation of the cell wall teichoic acid of Staphylococcus aureus of the strain Wood 46 and its immunobiological activity. An effective diagnostic test-system based on ELISA has been developed and tested. The system alloms defining specific antibodies to teichoic acid in the serum of patients suffering from infective endocarditis caused by staphylococci.
