The work is dedicated to the questions of account and designing of stationary spatial - rod coverings with large cuts on the elliptic plan. The system of dimensionless spatial - rigid parameters of a design is received, on the basis of which the numerical experiment was carried out. The results of theoretical researches are the dependence of dimensionless parameters of the intense deformed condition on dimensionless spatial - rigid parameters. The experimental researches on large-scale model of a spatial - rod covering are carried out. On the basis of results of experimental and numerical researches the approached technique of account is developed.
