Working out of theoretical approaches and methodical recommendations as to the Ukrainian railway transport competitiveness increasing on the basis of financial separation of freight and passenger transportation and deepening commercialisation of structural subdivisions. For the first time the main reason for creation of market competitive environment at the railway transport - liquidation of cross financing different kinds of transportation has been formulated; the method of detention of optimal variant of transition to new tariffs has been worked out; the method of the top limit determination to railway transportation's which secure its competitiveness has been elaborated; methodical approach to time - table value definition for freight and passenger transportation has been improved. Theoretical theses about deepening of commercial relations inside of branch by the way of creation of six joint - stock companies for railway management on the basis of holding company have received further development.
