Essay

The dissertation is devoted to identification of descriptiveness of determination of faecal elastase 1 (FE1) in diagnostics of exocrine pancreatic function. The research results also demonstrated that determination of FE1 level is a sensitive marker, which allows differentiating genesis of pancreatic diarrhea from non pancreatic. Exocrine pancreatic isufficiency (EPI) of different degrees was revealed in 42.7% of patients with diabetes. Two groups of patients with middle and light forms of EPI showed a significantly positive dynamics of FE1 indicators.
