This dissertation investigates fundamental theory and particularities of airline's property management and control processes. The thesis contains the analytical overview of foreign and Ukrainian researches elaborating on the definition of property, formation of proprietorship rights, transactional costs and property management and control systems. The conducted research of activities of airlines as participants of air transport industry of industrially developed states has allowed to reveal global international trends and tendencies of formation of sets of objects and proprietorship rights, uses of objects of property, methods of joint use of specific resources by airlines. The dissertation determines the specific features of establishing proprietorship rights over specific resources. The dissertation suggests to categorize airlines on the basis of the prevailing cluster of proprietorship rights over resources as well as on the completeness of property objects sets within the organizational and legal framework of an airline. The dissertation investigates the tendencies of leading world airlines' property formation as well as processes of airlines' ownership structures' evolution in different states of the world. The suggested definition of the airline's "property array" concept has allowed to better conduct the analysis of "property object - proprietorship right" combination sets that are being used in the course of airline's business activity. The dissertation suggests the model of airline's property management and control processes that adjoins and integrates airline's development strategy with the process of property array formation and processes of situational management thereof. The thesis offers a set of methodical approaches towards the definition of an airline's organizational and legal framework and boundaries, effectiveness of property array formation and efficiency of property management.
