Essay

Pathogenesis and medical treatment of age cataract. Efficacy increase in treatment of patients with age cataract. Methods: clinical - biomicroscopy, determining relative light dispersion within the eye, visometry; biochemical - by determining proteolytic activity and activity of protease inhibitors in the lens and in blood; spektrofotometr UV-VIS Specord -m -40, Straylight metrs siries2; statistical. For the first time, there was established the fact of destruction and correlation of protease-inhibitory system in blood and lens. The possibility of pathological changes in the lens with the drug phlogenzym at the initial stage of development of age cataract is substantiated on the basis of clinical and biochemical study in these patients. Rezults of researches are introduced into the Odessa Filatov Institute, The sphere of application is ophthalmology and medicine.
