Essay

The thesis is devoted to the issues related to calculation of base reinforced by horizontal linear flexi-ble elements, by the second group of ultimate states. This method of reinforcement is an effective means of base strengthening. The method for approximate considering of vibrations at calculation of reinforced embankments for railways and highways was developed, and the model based on Renkin theory was improved.The calculation method of reinforced base based on statistic method was developed. With the help of this method it is possible to calculate the reinforced base at breakage and slip of reinforcing elements. The calculation method of reinforced base based on discrete model gives the possibility to calculate the reinforced base at breakage and slip of reinforcing elements as well as to calculate the value of reinforcing elements slip in soil cushion. This method has wider area of application and it was used at development of methodic recommendations. The complex investigation of the value of friction coefficient of the reinforcing element on soil was performed depending on physical and mechanical properties of soil and reinforcing element. "The methodic recommendations for calculation by the second group of ultimate states of buildings and structures reinforced by horizontal linear reinforcing elements" were developed.
