This dissertation studies the formation of the soviet system of education on the territories, annexed in 1939 to BSSR: reorganization of the old educational institutions and appearance of the new ones. It analyses the structure of the so called forming popular enlightenment. There shown forms and contents of the processes of creation and development of the soviet educational system. The important point in the research is examination of the topic in the context of Kremlin home and foreign policy, which let approach cause-and-effect explanations of many sides of the soviet educational sphere in a new fashion. There discovered its strict dependence on strategic moves of the soviet state. The research uncrowns a number of soviet myths, first of all that of a rise in the level of school education, as well as that of a satisfaction of national minorities needs and those of the Belarusians. The soviet regime coped with the main tasks it set for the forming system of education: practically for a year and a half the education became purely soviet; overall control and dictate had been imposed on the younger generation by the summer of 1941, besides, as it was intended the school became an important social institution of state policy propagation to masses.
