Essay

The thesis is devoted to investigation of regional peculiarities of the thermohaline and sound speed structure of the Black Sea on basis of the new climatic hydrological data array. The new scheme of seasonal cycle of geostrophic circulation is proposed. Classification of water masses is modified by means of volumetric T,S analysis. Quantities of regional sources of cold intermediate layer renewal were determined. Climatic characteristic of sound channels were calculated, geographical division of the sound speed structure was carried out. Software to process oceanographic and hydrometeorological data was developed. Main results find an application for marine hydromeyeorological service of Ukraine.
