The dissertation presents the research of semantic and syntactic peculiarities of translocal adverbs with the centripetal direction of the action as a subgroup of lexical and grammatical class of words and translocal preverbs of centripetal direction as word-forming elements in modern German. The was described the semantics of translocal adverbs as compound vectors and the complete set of word-forming meanings of preverbs were provided. The thesis analyses syntactic functions of adverbs and functional peculiarities of preverbs in the sentence.
