Essay

The dissertation regards to the questions of early diagnostic of the pancreatic exocrine insufficiency (PEI) and comparative treatments with the contemporary enzyme preparations (EP) in different levels of PEI with the following control of the treatments' efficacy. It was determined that elastase-1 is the "gold standard" among numerous tests of the PEI. The determination of elastase-1 in dynamic allows evaluating the results of enzymatic substitutive therapy.It was established that using of 13C-Triglyceride Breath Test as most factual tool of early diagnostic of PEI, which is indicating the level of lipase in duodenum, it's possible to set the dosage of EP and differentiate between pancreatic and enteric steathorrea.
