Romanyuk A. The problems of juvenile defense in criminal procedure

The thesis is devoted to the problems of legal regulation of defense in juvenile cases in criminal procedure. In the thesis there are factors that determine necessity of the intense juvenile defense considered, the essence, content and significance of the right of defense and the right of counsel in juvenile cases are explored. The work enlightens questions on defense aims in these cases, peculiarities of the procedural status of a juvenile defender. One of the main problems considered in the thesis is defense in cases on compulsory educational measures application. The analysis of legal norms regulating juvenile defense is made. Besides the exploration of an effectiveness of juvenile defense is made in the work. A number of proposals as to improvement of current legislation and practice are formulated with the purpose of the juvenile defense' effectiveness increase
