Essay

The dissertation is centered on the study of the drying processes intensification methods with the purpose of developing an energy-effective method for the production of pectin containing powders (PPCP). Experimentally proved PPCP technology is based on the step-wise dehydra-tion regimes and a two-stage drying procedure. The technology implies maximum conservation of pectin substances and thus high jelling power and complexing ability of the final product. The commercialization of PPCP technology made possible the convertion of production facilities to an-year-round mode of operation, the rise in the quantity of processed raw material as well as the gain in the efficiency and productivity of technological equipment.
