Afanasyev I. Polish-Ukrainian Relations 1991-2000: Political and Economical Interaction.

The thesis is submitted considers the complex of Polish-Ukrainian political and economical relations, including the contacts of the governments as well as of regional authorities, Polish and Ukrainian political parties and private companies. The sources are: the archival documents of Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and former Ministry of Foreign Economical Relations and Trade; documents published by the state and academic institutions in Ukraine and Poland; the publications of historians, politologists, sociologists, economists and statistics; interviews, press-releases and other materials of mass-media. Within the analysis of historic sources some methodological problems have been affected. The events are represented in the context of multilateral relations at the region of East-Central Europe and foreign policies of Russia and USA. Ukrainian and Polish domestic political factors have been although taken into account.
